18 years. First chair trial experience. State, federal, and appellate courts.
Anne Barker has over 18 years of experience as an attorney representing a wide range of clients — from individuals to large corporations — in all stages of litigation through trial in both State and Federal courts. She is an attorney with the firm practicing Business, Construction and Real Estate Litigation.
Mrs. Barker has over 17 years of first chair trial experience and has prepared and argued appeals before State Courts, including the California Court of Appeal. She has extensive experience managing large litigation teams and training attorneys and staff in litigation techniques and appellate practice.
Prior to joining Ghassemian Law Group, Mrs. Barker served as corporate counsel for large banking institutions, advising them in foreclosure-related litigation. She also owned her own class action law firm, served as in-house counsel overseeing litigation for a non-profit organization in the Bay Area, and worked in various private firms practicing general civil litigation with a focus on business and real estate.
What distinguishes Mrs. Barker is the breadth of her scientific and legal credentials. She holds a Master of Science in Animal Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Purdue University, and is a registered U.S. Patent Attorney — a background that gives her a unique analytical edge in technically complex construction defect and product liability cases. She is admitted to practice in California and is voluntarily inactive in Illinois, Tennessee, and Georgia.
